There is a long tradition of woodcarving in his village as many of the men worked as loggers and in the nearby sawmill and ‘whittled’ wood creations as a pastime. Jonathan Cromwell’s woodcarvings are quite detailed and are inspired by nature and his spiritual connection to the land. He has been exhibiting with BANNS since 1998.
