Our Story

In 1989 in the aftermath of the Cole Harbour High School riot in 1989, when Black and White students at the school fought openly for three days over a racially charged snowball fight, Black students at Cole Harbour High School approached playwright David Woods (a mentor of a cultural group at the school at the time) about finding ways help promote a better understanding of the Black experience at the school.
